What is COUNSELLING/PSYCHOTHERAPY?

I embrace your vulnerabilities in an empathic and accepting manner. In feeling heard and understood, you learn to be more accepting of yourself, others, your past and present.

When therapy is conducted over time, it can generate deep and profound changes within.

What are my Credentials and Experience?

I trained as a psychotherapist / counsellor with the London School of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the Roehampton University, UK and qualified in 2001. I became accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy in May 2003.

I keep abreast of my professional and personal development by regularly reading professional journals and books and attending relevant seminars.

How can I help you?

I offer telephone and SKYPE and face-to-face therapy.

I work with people going through significant life changes e.g. divorce, separation, job loss, life -threatening illness, bereavement, mid-life crisis, which result in feelings of aloneness, insecurity, desperation and depression.

How does it work?

I rely on the client-centred model within the humanistic approach, which stresses our relationship as part of your healing and growth process.

This process frees you from past pain and allows you to be more forgiving and compassionate of yourself and others.

I may, depending on who and where you are and with your permission, offer alternative approaches through mindfulness based cognitive therapy, life coaching, hypnotherapy, dream analysis or Reiki.

A Buddhist Monk

"The ancient sages of natural virtue said :
I take no action, and people´s contention dissolves by itself;
I enjoy stillness, and people rectify themselves;
I do not interfere, and people enrich themselves;
I have no desire, and people return to simplicity."
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
